Easy, no-bake treat with the perfect combination: chocolate, coffee, and pistachios. A simple but very pleasant recipe for chocolate salami and coffee lovers to enjoy.

Units Scale
  • 130 grams of cooking chocolate (70% cocoa)
  • 130 grams of cookies (Maria if available)
  • 100 grams of margarine
  • 40 grams of icing sugar
  • 20 ml of espresso coffee
  • 70 grams of pistachios

  1. Melt the cooking chocolate in a water bath.
  2. While the chocolate melts, crush the cookies, for example, by putting them in a sealed bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
  3. Once the chocolate is melted, add the margarine and mix until it is melted too.
  4. Stir in the sugar.
  5. Prepare 20 ml of espresso coffee and blend it thoroughly into the chocolate mixture.
  6. Add the crushed cookies and pistachios and mix well.
  7. Transfer the mixture to the center of a sheet of parchment paper and with the help of the paper apply some pressure to create the shape of a salami.
  8. Tightly wrap it in the paper and place it in the fridge for 3 to 4 hours to solidify.
  9. Dust with icing sugar before serving (optional).

  • If you can’t find Marie cookies (which are very common in Portugal), you can use tea biscuits or other simple cookies.
  • The total time includes the chill time. It only should take about 15 minutes to prepare the salami.
